5 Ways to use Scrapbooking Embellishments

  1. Creating a personalized title page for your scrapbook can add a unique and special touch to your album. To do this, choose a selection of scrapbook embellishments that match the theme or aesthetic of your scrapbook. You can use stickers, die cuts, buttons, and other decorative items to create a visually appealing title page. You could use a combination of different embellishments to create a collage effect, or focus on using just one or two standout pieces to make a statement. Don’t be afraid to get creative and try out different arrangements until you find a layout that you love
  2. Adding embellishments to your scrapbook pages can help to highlight important photos or journal entries. For example, if you have a particularly special photo that you want to draw attention to, you could use stickers, die cuts, or other decorative items to frame the photo or add visual interest to the page. Similarly, you could use embellishments to mark the beginning of a new chapter or section in your scrapbook, or to add emphasis to a particularly meaningful journal entry. Just be sure to use embellishments sparingly so as not to overwhelm the page.
  3. Creating a border around the edges of your scrapbook pages can be a great way to add a finishing touch to your layouts. To do this, choose a selection of coordinating embellishments, such as stickers, die cuts, or washi tape, and use them to create a continuous border around the edges of your pages. You could opt for a simple and subtle border, or go bold and create a more elaborate design. Experiment with different embellishments and arrangements until you find a border style that you love.
  4. Using small embellishments to create a pattern or design on a plain background can be a fun and creative way to add interest to your scrapbook pages. For example, you could use a selection of coordinating stickers or die cuts to create a repeating pattern on a plain background paper. Alternatively, you could use a single type of embellishment, such as buttons or sequins, to create a more subtle design. Just be sure to use a light hand so as not to overpower the rest of the page.
  5. Combining different embellishments to create a 3D effect on your scrapbook pages can add depth and dimension to your layouts. One way to achieve this is by using foam adhesive to make stickers and die cuts pop off the page. You could also try layering different embellishments on top of each other, or using a combination of flat and dimensional items, such as adding buttons or ribbon to your pages. Just be sure to use a light hand so as not to weigh down your pages with too many embellishments.
